About Occupier

Occupier is a compelling new alternative rock band from San Diego. This passion project comes from the creative mind of Ernie Longoria, the prolific drummer of the legendary band Sprung Monkey. With Occupier, Ernie takes a step further into the spotlight as the band's primary songwriter and vocalist.

Joining Ernie is Sprung Monkey's bassist, Ryan Flores. In addition to laying down the bass lines for Occupier, Ryan brings his technical expertise as a recording engineer to the band. With a recording studio of his own, Ryan serves as the backbone of Occupier's recording process.

The band's rich and layered sound comes in part from the guitar work of Dan Vega, and additional guitars, keys, and synth provided by Aaron T Smith. Together, the quartet combines their individual talents and influences to create a unique sound in the alternative rock scene. Occupier doesn't signify an end to their journey with Sprung Monkey, but rather an exciting new path running parallel.
